Basketball Arena, university of Southern indiana

Project: University of Southern Indiana - Basketball Arena (Phase 1)
Project Team: John Mcallister, Will Schenk, Whit Rogers, Allison Macon, Tiffin Thompson
Project Status: Under Construction
Role: Interior Documentation

The new basketball arena adjoins the existing Physical Activity Center and will be the home court of USI’s Screaming Eagles athletics programs and the site of fall and spring commencement exercises at USI. It’s also home to Athletics offices and a number of academic classrooms. The new construction includes: a 5,000-seat area, spirit store, concession stands, training facility, state of the art locker rooms, broadcast rooms, and a varsity club. Phase two, which is in the planing phase will renovate the existing building and provide office spaces for the athletic department and updated kinesiology classrooms and teaching areas.

My assignment for this project was to work with the project architect to document the interior, including: coordination with the fixed and telescopic seating manufacturer and detailing the all 23 different kinds of hand and guard rails.
